Effective May 2026
Kcalo is a calorie and meal tracking app. This notice summarizes how information you enter or generate in Kcalo is handled in the current version of the app.
You may enter or store profile and health-related data in Kcalo, such as:
When you describe a meal in words or provide a meal photo, that content may be sent to OpenAI (or similar providers we use for the same purpose) to estimate calories and nutrition. Those estimates are approximate—see the note below.
When you scan a barcode, Kcalo may request public product information from services such as Open Food Facts to help fill in nutrition details.
Depending on the version of Kcalo you use, much of your information may be stored locally on your device rather than on our servers. You can delete local data from Settings when that option is available in your build.
We do not sell your personal data.
Calorie, macro, and nutrition estimates in Kcalo are approximate and may be incomplete or incorrect. They are meant for personal tracking, not for medical decisions.
